1. Who is responsible for your information
Fando Turizm İşletmeleri Anonim Şirketi, registered at Turgutreis Mah. 4051 Sk. No: 4E İç Kapı No: 4, Bodrum, Muğla, Türkiye (trade registry no. 017200), is the data controller for the information described here. You can contact us at egekiraz@marinhill.com. Marinhill Luxury Villas is operated by Fando Turizm İşletmeleri A.Ş. and is not a separate legal entity, so there is a single data controller.
2. What we collect
When you begin an application: your name, email address, phone number, country, chosen dates, chosen room type, and whether you are travelling alone or as a couple. When you complete an application: your age range, languages, profession, interests, goals for the trip, daily rhythm, social preferences, things that would make the stay uncomfortable for you, a short introduction, your reason for applying, and optionally the name of a friend you'd like to travel with or a link to your Instagram or LinkedIn profile. If your application is accepted: identity document details, which we are required to register with the Turkish authorities, and payment information processed by our payment provider. We do not store your card details. Automatically: basic technical information such as your IP address and browser type.
3. Why we use it, and our legal basis
Reviewing your application and deciding whether to offer you a place — steps taken at your request before entering a contract. Placing you in a compatible group — our legitimate interest in delivering the experience you applied for. Taking payment and administering your booking — performance of our contract with you. Registering guest identity with Turkish authorities — legal obligation. Responding to your questions — our legitimate interest in operating our business. We rely on your consent, given when you submit your application, to process the personal details you choose to share with us in your introduction and profile answers. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us. This does not affect processing that has already taken place.
4. Decisions about your application are made by people
Your application is read and assessed by our team. We do not use automated decision-making or profiling to accept, decline or place applicants. We do not use your age, nationality or gender when deciding whether to accept an application.
5. Who we share it with
Turkish authorities, where we are legally required to register guest details. Our service providers, who host our website and database and send our emails, acting on our instructions. Other guests in your group. Before you pay, we may share an anonymised summary of the group — for example age ranges, professions and countries. We do not share your name, photograph or contact details at this stage. Once your deposit is paid and you join the group, other guests will see your first name and the introduction you wrote. We do not sell your information and we do not share it for advertising.
6. Where your information is held
Our website, database and file storage are hosted in Dublin, Ireland (AWS eu-west-1), within the European Union. Our team accesses this information from Türkiye in order to review applications and run your stay.
7. How long we keep it
Applications that we decline or that are not completed: 12 months from the date of application. Confirmed bookings: 10 years, as required by Turkish accounting and tax law. Identity records: for the period required by Turkish accommodation law.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to: ask for a copy of the information we hold about you; have inaccurate information corrected; ask us to delete your information; object to or restrict how we use it; receive your information in a portable format; withdraw consent where we rely on it; complain to your local data protection authority. 9. Cookies
We use only cookies that are strictly necessary for the website to function. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies, and we do not track you across other websites. If we introduce analytics in future, we will ask for your consent first.
